The 2026 FISU Gender Equality webinar will continue to spotlight innovative projects, policies, and best practices from across the global sports community that advance gender equality and inclusion. Through concrete examples and lived experiences, the webinar will explore both the challenges and the progress shaping women’s careers in sport, on and off the field.
Pedro Dias, Gender Equality & Inclusion Manager at the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will present the IOC’s strategic work in this field, with a particular focus on key initiatives aimed at empowering young athletes.
The webinar will also feature Gizem Girişmen, FISU Gender Equality Champion Awardee 2025, who will share first-hand insights into the gender equality initiatives that led to her recognition.
