Australian Heming Hu is one of those university athletes who have had a brush with Olympic glory as well. He represented Australia at the Universiade in Taipei 2017 after performing in Rio 2016.
Reaching the 2016 Olympics fulfilled a childhood goal of Hu’s and he said the Olympics were the best experience of his life. “Playing in the Olympic Games was a goal I have had since my childhood years and to finally – after so many unsuccessful attempts – have made it, was unbelievable.”
