Pedro Dias, Gender Equality & Inclusion Manager at the International Olympic Committee
Pedro Dias, a former elite judoka, leads the design and implementation of initiatives, frameworks, and programmes that promote gender equality and inclusion across the Olympic Movement.
As part of the IOC team responsible for gender-related strategy, he regularly represents the organisation at major international sport and inclusion events, including global conferences and gender equality forums. His work focuses on empowering athletes, supporting gender equality projects, and driving inclusive policies and practices throughout sport governance and delivery.

Sabrina Miyabara, Brazilian table tennis student-athlete

Sabrina Miyabara is a rising Brazilian table tennis star, strong in youth and senior national competitions and transitioning into the international university stage. She combines athletic performance with her academic pursuits and is seen as one of the promising young players coming through the Brazilian table tennis ranks. Sabrina started playing table tennis at about 9 years old, encouraged by her father.
Her achievements so far include:
- Gold medal with the team at the Pan-American Sub-19 Championships.
- Brazilian Championship (Sub-19) title
- Gold medal at the World Youth Championship (Sub-17)
- Bronze medal at the South American Sub-19 Championships
Gizem Girişmen, FISU Champion Awardee 2025
Paralympic gold medallist, Gizem Girişmen is a leading advocate for gender equality, athlete empowerment, and inclusive sports policy in Türkiye and beyond. She has held key roles in the International Paralympic Committee, European Paralympic Committee, and Turkish sports governance. She also mentored young female para-athletes through initiatives like WOMENTORING, where she empowered them to build careers in both sport and leadership.
As current advisor of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Chair of the Para Shooting Technical Committee and a PhD researcher on Paralympic athletes’ dual careers, she bridges sport, policy, and gender equity and inclusion, earning national and international recognition for her impactful work.
