Twelve men’s teams and twelve women’s teams from 19 universities and 15 countries will be competing for the trophies during the Brasilia FISU University World Cup 3×3 Basketball from 14-16 November 2025.

After winning the gold medal for Lithuania in July at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, Rocas Jocys, Augustinas Mikštas, Titas Janucevicius and Gabrielus Čelka have travelled to Brazil wearing the Vytautas Magnus colours to try to keep their university’s title., but the ladies from Tsinghua haven’t managed to qualify this year so the women’s tournament will crown new queens.

The host
The event will take place in an iconic venue of Brazil’s capital city, right under the triangular Brasilia TV Tower. “For the Brazilian University Sports Confederation (CBDU), hosting this competition is a true honour”, said Alim Rachid Maluf Neto, OC President and Continental Association Delegate FISU America. “Brasília becomes the stage where the passion for 3×3 basketball meets the talent of university athletes from around the world, celebrating not only sport but also friendship, cultural diversity, and the spirit of university life.”

“We are proud to receive teams from different countries and to provide an unforgettable experience both on and off the court”, insists Alim Rachid Maluf Neto, who is also the President of FISU America. “We are certain that every game will be marked by talent, dedication, and respect — values that unite us and strengthen our international university sports community.”
