University of Granada (ESP), University of Auckland (NZL), State University of Trade and Economics(UKR), Kyungil University (KOR), University for Development Studies (GHA), Paulista University (BRA), Chouaib Doukkali University (MAR) and University of Split (CRO) carry on their road towards the final in China.
All teams enjoyed a rest day filled with local cultural activities on 23 September.
Rest day and cultural activities
We already knew which women’s teams were going through to the semi-finals of the Dalian 2025 FISU University World Cup Football, and now the two best men’s teams of each four groups will move on to the quarter finals on 24 September as the group phase matches are now over.
Group A
In Group A, University of Granada from Spain finished first with 7 points, followed by the Kiwis of the University of Auckland with four points. They will face respectively the University of Split (CRO) and Chouaib Doukkali University (MAR) at 18h00.

Group B

Three teams ended up the group phase with 6 points in the very tight group B, each with two wins and one loss. But Ukrainians from State University of Trade and Economics scored 9 goals only conceding 4 which placed them top of the table. They will play Paulista University (BRA) at 15h30. Kyungil University (KOR) have a better goal difference than the Australians from the University of Wollongong, so they will face University for Development Studies (GHA) in their quarter-final game scheduled at 15h30
Group C
Ingroup C, two teams finished with 7 points, but University for Development Studies (GHA) made Africa proud by scoring 7 goals, placing them on the number one spot. They will play the Koreans from Kyungil University tomorrow. Brazilians of Paulista University finished second and will have to hit the net more often than up to now if they hope to go through to the semis against the State University of Trade and Economics (UKR).

Group D

In group D, we find the only team that remains unbeaten up to now. Chouaib Doukkali University from Morocco have done beautifully in Dalian with 9 points, 8 goals and only conceding three. Auckland University, their next opponent stands warmed! University of Split (CRO) finished second with 7 points and will face the University of Granada (ESP) at 18h.
