On 6 June 2021, Israel’s NUSF – the Academic Sport Association (ASA) – organised its first mini-championship since social restrictions were implemented following the outbreak of COVID-19.
The ASA Championship, which took place in the city of Eilat, was a breath of fresh air for all who participated following a difficult period due to the pandemic.
Men and women united at the event to compete in six disciplines: beach volleyball, futsal, swimming, climbing, tennis and 3×3 basketball.
The event reunited 600 students from 15 different academic institutions and brought hope that the ASA Championship will return to its usual format as of March 2022.
