FISU’s commitment to clean sport on #PlayTrueDay

10 April 2019

Today is #PlayTrueDay and FISU takes the opportunity to reiterate its commitment to clean sport and raising awareness among athletes about the global fight against doping.

FISU’s comprehensive anti-doping programme includes the development of an e-textbook with WADA, that was designed to be an overview of doping in sport and all related issues. FISU has worked closely with WADA to ensure the textbook and learning materials are accessible to as many as possible. More information on this anti-doping e-textbook can be found on the anti-doping e-learning platform ADeL, right here. You can know more about FISU’s anti-doping programmes and protection of athletes here.

The ‘Play True Day’ started as a Latin American initiative, and over the years, this grassroots movement gained momentum with numerous European countries celebrating in 2016 and then even more joining the campaign from around the globe in the following years.

FISU believes that together, we can leverage this momentum to create a world where clean sport prevails – a world where athletes choose to stay clean out of self-respect, fairness to their fellow competitors, and for the pure joy of sport.

The ADeL platform offers courses for athletes, coaches, doctors, administrators and anyone interested in learning more about anti-doping and protecting the values of clean sport.
