9 August 2016

LAUSANNE – In an article published on 8 August in famous French newspaper Le Monde, Marc Peltier, Associate professor of law at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France, highlights the importance of education and prevention in the fight against doping, mentioning the educational partnership developed between FISU and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to raise awareness about doping amongst university students. The article is available in French here

Engaging university students is indeed the perfect way to promote drug-free sport values to future sport leaders and professionals. The FISU-WADA Anti-Doping Programme strives to create a drug-free environment by means of educational sessions in universities. To this end, the two international organisations have jointly developed a set of teaching material including an e-textbook, the updated version of which will be made available in the fall.

More information about the programme is available here.
