XIAMEN – On Tuesday, 15 March FISU President Oleg MATYTSIN and Secretary General/CEO Eric SAINTROND met the organizing committee for the 3×3 FISU World University League and the 3rd World University 3×3 Basketball Championship. The FISU delegates were welcomed by Mr. JIA Yimin, Rector of Huaqiao University, Mr. XU Xipeng, Vice-Rector of Huaqiao University. Mr. XUE Yanqing, FISU CMC member and FUSC Vice-President, Mr. SHEN Zhen, FISU CDSE Vice-President and FUSC Vice President also attended this meeting.

FISU World University Championship Director Paulo FERREIRA, Media Assistant Yuan REN hosted the progress report conference regarding preparation of both the league and the championship after the FISU President’s meeting with the Organising Committee. Both praised the preparation of OC with past experience in organizing last 3×3 league. Suggestions concerning communication, broadcasting, and mutual cooperation were also proposed to the Organising Committee for a better organisation.
After a fruitful venue inspection in the afternoon, a feedback meeting between FISU and the organizing committee will be hosted on the next day.
