WUC Department meets in Wroclaw

LAUSANNE– Further to the election of its new Executive Committee in November 2015, FISU recently appointed Marian Dymalski (POL) and Fernando Parente (POR), respectively as Chair and Vice-chair of the International Technical Committee of the FISU World University Championship.

 

This year, 34 FISU World University Championships are scheduled to take place over 4 continents and in that context, the WUC Department held a transition meeting in Wroclaw on 23-24 February. In attendance were the abovementioned CTI Chair and Vice-chair, the 1st Vice-president Leonz Eder (SUI) in the capacity as former WUC CTI Chair, the EUSA President Adam Roczek, as a guest, and part of the FISU WUC Department.

 

During the work meeting, many topics were discussed, including the working methods of the Department, the ongoing WUC seasons (2016 and 2018), as well as future projects to be implemented in the frame of the World University Championships as a tool to develop the University Sports Movement.

 

The meeting also aimed at preparing the FISU Executive Committee meeting scheduled this week and at ensuring a smooth continuity in terms of work inside the Department.
