EduC meets in Brussels

BRUSSELS – EduC, the FISU Education Committee, met in Brussels on 9 and 10 October. On the meeting’s agenda were the progress reports of the upcoming EduC activities such as the Forum 2016 in Montpellier, France and the Conferences at the 2017 Winter (Almaty) and Summer (Taipei City) Universiades. Jean-François Sautereau, FFSU President and Vincent Rognon, FFSU Director, representing the Organising Committee of the 2016 Forum had travelled to Brussels to give a progress report first hand.

The committee members also discussed the FISU-Daegu Scholarship Programme and the FISU-GUOC-WADA Anti-Doping Programme.

On the second day of the meeting the members studied the future of the Student Committee and the further development of the projects for the period 2015-19, i.e. the support structure for the Student Committee as well as improving experiences and opportunities across FISU.

FISU Director of Educational Services Kolë Gjeloshaj also reported on FISU’s presence at the Magna Charta Conference (Bologna), the EAS Conference (Amsterdam) and discussed the presence of the FISU EduC at future conferences for the period 2016-2019.
