DIEBURG – Since 17 August, 2015, the office of the German University Sports Federation (adh) is under new management. Christoph Fischer, who studied sports management, has been appointed Secretary-General.
For the daily work, he will not only derive important impulses from his sports management studies but also from the additional degree programme of European sports studies he absolved at the German Sport University in Cologne. Thanks to his many years as a personal consultant of the rector, as an adviser for Bologna issues of the German Rectors’ Conference and as a consultant for quality assurance at the university, he got a direct impression about the inside of a member university of the adh. Via the secretary of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs – as consultant in the academic department – Fischer now found his “absolute dream position” at the German University Sports Federation.
“I am grateful that the executive committee elected me and put its trust in me. Especially the current phase, in which a new organization structure is to be put in place, is particularly exciting to me. It will be important to find the right balance between continuity and change”, the new Secretary-General commented.
