EILAT – Recently, the 10th edition of the “Friendship Games”, an International Basketball Tournament for students hosted by ASA, the NUSF from Israel, ended in a moving Closing Ceremony on the banks of the Red Sea.
Teams from Jordan, Palestine, Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Israel took part in a men’s and women’s tournament.
Once again the power of sport provided the basis of a fascinating encounter between students from diverse backgrounds. New friendships were formed, allowing students to get to know each other on a personal basis.
All the participants were taken on tours of Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea. Social events created a great atmosphere of friendship and companionship.
Both in the women’s and men’s tournament the teams from Lithuania took home the Trophies.
