8 December 2014

MACEIO – It is summertime in Brazil and to close the 2014 competitions Calendar CBDU organized one more edition of the Brazilian Beach Games as part of the University Sport League (LDU), in Maceió city, located in the Northeast Coast of Brazil. From 3 to 6 December, more than 300 student-athletes (Women and Men) from 9 states competed for the medals on Beach Handball, Beach Soccer, FootVolley and Beach Volleyball.

All the games took place at the Venue set up at Pajuçara Beach.  Beside the Beach Handball, all the other sports were played at the same time, all day long, what brings a good variety of options for the spectators on the seats. Universiade medalists and WUC participants came also in action in this year’s Beach Games edition like Nathane Fabem, bronze medalist with the Brazilian women’s soccer team at the Kazan 2013 SU and Marcos Borlini who competed for Brazil at the 2014 WUC Beach Volleyball WUC in Portugal.
