Before the official start of the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee prepared 2 performances for all the participants. The first one was the song ‘Higher’ sung by the band ‘MURMURSHOW’. The second one was a performance by a group of nearly 20 students mastering diabolos. The diabolos were flying up in the air through high-level skills, which was quite eye appealing.
After the cultural performances, the Opening Ceremony moved on accordingly. In his welcome speech, the CTUSF Vice-President JENG Fang-fann welcomed all the participants coming from afar. He said that this championship will be a test event of 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade and he welcomed all the participants to come back again during the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade.
