ST. GALLEN – On invitation of the Swiss University Sports Federation (SUSF) and the University of St. Gallen, one of the leading business schools in Europe, the team from the FISU WUC Department – Paulo Ferreira, Julien Buhajezuk and Julien Carrel – travelled to St. Gallen for a two-day workshop with WUC CTI Chair Leonz Eder. During that workshop they analysed the statistics of the 2014 WUC, held so far, discussed the program and progress of the International University Beach Games to be held in Maceió, Brazil in the first week of December, and worked on the Technical Handbooks for the World University Championship. The WUC team also prepared the presentation to the FISU EC in Gwangju mid-October and drafted the programme of the WUC Seminar 2015, based mainly on the feedback given by the participants after the first edition in 2013. Additionally, issues like the protocol for the WUC, media coverage and a marketing strategy for the Championships were also discussed. Finally the four FISU representatives analysed the potential bids for the 2018 WUC and applications for new sports on the FISU programme.
