FFSU & FUSC sign agreement at the Quai d’Orsay

Signing between Jean-François Sautereau and Yang Liguo, with Liu Yandong, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Education, Culture, Science, Health, Tourism and Sports and Laurent Fabius, French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Developme 

PARIS – Thursday, 18 September, a delegation from the FFSU led by its President Jean-François Sautereau was received at the Quai d’ Orsay, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Laurent Fabius.

FFSU President Sautereau was accompanied by Vincent Rognon (National Director), François Capel (Deputy National Director) and Damien Bardot (Director of Communications and Partnerships).

The reception was held in the framework of the Franco-Chinese high-level Dialogue regarding exchanges with Ms Liu Yandong, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Education, Culture, Science, Health, Tourism and Sports of the People’s Republic of China.

Thirteen bilateral cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries in fields as diverse as health, research, education and culture and sports. Among them, only one contract concerned the sport: one between the FFSU, represented by its President Jean-François Sautereau and FUSC (Chinese University Sports Federation), represented by its Secretary-General Yang Liguo .

Through this agreement, the two associations commit to cooperate and implement various actions around college football: meetings, workshops, training of managers and players and inter-university exchanges. This collaboration should take shape in the course of 2015.

Together with FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien, the FUSC and FFSU stressed the importance of further promoting mutual understanding between the two countries, as the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties this year.
