EUSA President Adam Roczek
LJUBLJANA – The European University Sports Association (EUSA) is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2014. The anniversary celebrations started with a series of events in Denizli, Turkey, between 3 and 6 April, including an Executive Committee Meeting, Conference, General Assembly and a special Gala. The events were hosted by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TUSF).
Executive Committee Meeting
The Executive Committee meeting focused on the topic of the European Universities Games – the upcoming ones in Rotterdam in 2014, the 3rd edition in 2016 in Zagreb-Rijeka and the candidates Tampere and Coimbra for 2018. The EUSA Conference and General Assembly were discussed as well, and the cooperation with the international organisations.

Accompanying the 2014 EUSA General Assembly, the EUSA Conference with the theme “European Dimensions and Potentials of University Sport” was organised on 4 April, with over 130 participants in attendance.

EUSA General Assembly
The main event in Denizli was the EUSA General Assembly. EUSA President Mr Roczek welcomed all the delegates, representing 34 EUSA members, national university sports associations, EUSA Executive Committee members, organisers of European Universities Games 2014 and 2016, delegations of bidding cities of the European Universities Games 2018 Coimbra and Tampere and guests from EUSA partner organisations.

EUSA Gala
The EUSA General Assembly in Turkey concluded on Saturday, April 5 in the evening with a special EUSA Gala event. The Gala marked the 15th anniversary of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and was the perfect occasion to socialise and celebrate the highlights of the previous year and special accomplishments.
Several awards were presented and the host city for the 4th EUSA Games in 2018 was announced as well. In 2018 the EUSA Games will be hosted by Coimbra, Portugal.
