Kacper Czarnota (POL) and Choo Young (KOR)
GWANGJU – On the 5th day of the Forum, two Student Committee members, Kacper Czarnota (POL) and Choo Young (KOR), presented a report dedicated to the conclusions of the last Forum which was held in Taipei City (TPE) in 2012. The main theme of this Forum was “University Sport, a platform for Sustainable Development”.
The first keynote speaker of the day was Camille Ricaud, PhD student and lecturer in management at Paul-Valley University in Montpellier III, France. His presentation,” From the Kazan Conference to
the Gwangju Forum; do University sports and Olympics follow the same model?”, focused on the fact that university sport and Olympic sport can be used to prepare the future human resources for the labour market and that they are an educational foundation point.
Camille Ricaud (FRA)
Nina Zirke, deputy Director since 2012 at the RWTH Aachen USD (Aachen/Germany), took the place of Camille Ricaud in front of the audience. She talked about the leadership skills required when you are managing a FISU Championship. The presentation showed up some of the most important points of the organizing process as well as a personal view and evaluation of the position as director of the World University Equestrian Championship (WUEC) 2012. The same subject was then addressed by Sang-a Kim, who took part in the organization process of the 2012 WUC of Badminton. She also highlighted the issues they faced during this championship.

The presentations were followed by a presentation on employability research outcomes and by a Q&A session regarding the topic leadership/self-profiling/careers in sport.
Afterwards, Laurent Briel, Development and Special Projects Director, presented the WADA EduC/CDSU project. The aim of this project is to develop anti-doping materials including an e-textbook raising the social awareness on doping to be used in the universities.
To end up the day, the delegates were invited for a tour in Gwangju. They had the opportunity to visit historical venues of the city of Gwangju, including Gwangju PR zone at the City Hall, May 18th National Cemetery, a street market…
