GWANGJU – Two parallel sessions were at the agenda this afternoon. One of the presentations was dedicated to the student delegates. They were introduced to the Student Committee (CdE) and attended a presentation regarding the Terms of Reference of the CdE, the existing work and the forward views. In the same time, Mrs. Alison Odell, Chair of Education Committee and Mr Zhong Bingshu, member of the Education Committee made a review in front of the senior delegates about the FISU use of “declarations”, the contribution to future content and the planning and communication of the Committee.

The two sessions were followed by a presentation of the 2013 gender equality awardee, the NUSF of Norway. One of its members, Loni Pedersen, reported on the development of their project. The Gender Equality-Sport Award is given to an existing project developed by a federation, an organization or an individual. A particular attention is given to projects that could act as model for others countries, regions and/or continents.

Afterwards, students had the opportunity to present their country during the FISU Fair. Each country was required to give a presentation about its National University Sport Federation (NUSF) and the situation regarding University Sport in its country. It was a good opportunity to exchange ideas, to learn about each other’s culture and sport and even initiate co-operation projects. The delegations were invited to wear a “national costume” in order to express the individuality, the culture or the traditions of their home country.

Marion Höchli (SUI), student at the Saint-Gall University: “This is my second Forum and I really like it. This Forum is a proof that friendship trough the sport is very strong. What I like with the workshops is that we can exchange our points of view about interesting topics with a lot of people”.
