The 2 keynote speakers during the Q&A session
GWANGJU – Today, March 18th, was the second day of the FISU Forum in Gwangju. The journey started with two presentations related to one of the sub-themes of the Forum: “Ethics: Individual Social Responsibility and / vs University Sport Responsibility”. The first presentation, “Global Ethical Issues in University Sport: Athlete, Coach and/vs University Responsibility”, was made by Dr. A. J. Schneider (CAN), from Western University, Canada. The presentation focused on a global perspective on the ethical issues facing sport, but most specifically “university sport” and the university sport movement.
Workshops session
Then, the floor was given to Tamas Freyer (HUN), Head of Department of Physical Education, National Public Service University (Hungary). His presentation was about the main ethical questions/problems in sport with the help of practical example/cases.
Afterwards, all the delegates joined their workshops related to the ethic subtheme “Ethics: Individual Social Responsibility and / vs University Sport Responsibility”.
