Education Committee
Gwangju – On March 15th and 16th, in the framework of the FISU Forum 2014 in Gwangju, FISU Education Committee and Students Committee met for a two-days working session.
The Education Meeting, which started on March 16th, was chaired by Alison Odell (GBR). The main topics discussed were the FISU Forum of Gwangju 2014 and Montpellier 2016 as well as the future events related to the Education Committee, the FISU Conference that will be held in Gwangju during the Summer Universiade, the FISU Sports Education Summit, the co-operation with the other FISU committees and departments (most specifically with the Gender Equality Committee and the WUC department), the WADA project, the recurrent programmes (Daegu Scholarship Programme, Young Researcher Award and International Education Center) and the reports about past and future international conferences related to the Committee.
Student Committee
Regarding the Student Committee, the meeting was chaired by coordinator Renata Bojczuk (POL) and co-coordinator Arnaud Richard (FRA).
Of course, the FISU Forum of Gwangju 2015 and the next educational events (FISU conference 2015 and FISU Forum 2016) were a big part of the agenda. The cooperation within FISU and with external bodies, the student session and the follow up of the different decisions taken before were also discussed.
