TRENTO – FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien met with Mr. Hao Ping, Vice-Minister of Education of China and President of the 37th General Assembly of UNESCO. Members of the Chinese University Sports Federation (FUSC) were also present at this meeting. In this brief encounter, Mr. Hao Ping praised the work of FISU and its values. The Vice-Minister welcomed the excellent relations that exist between FISU and UNESCO and called for strengthening them in the future. The FISU President thanked him for his support and his presence at the Opening Ceremony of the 26th Winter Universiade. He emphasized the dynamism of China and FUSC having already organized three Universiades in the past (2 Summer: Beijing 2001 and Shenzhen 2011 and 1 Winter: Harbin 2009). He also stressed that FISU and UNESCO share a set of values that makes them natural partners. He has committed himself also to strengthen the ties between both organizations.
