FISU Vice-Presidents Zhang Xinsheng & Leonz Eder at St. Gallen University
ST. GALLEN – FISU Vice-President Zhang Xinsheng, since september 2012 also President of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), paid a visit to the IUCN headquarters in Gland, Switzerland. He used the opportunity of this trip to also meet representatives of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC, based in Bern, the World Resources Forum and the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Material Science and Technology, based in St. Gallen, which also hosts the headquarters of the Swiss University Sports Federation (SUSF).
At this occasion Zhang Xinsheng was received by his FISU EC colleague Leonz Eder, at St. Gallen University, School of Management, Economics. Law, Social Sciences and International Affairs and one of the leading business schools in Europe and well known all over the world.

Zhang Xinsheng visited the main building of the University of St. Gallen, the library and some lecture halls where he had some talks with students from Switzerland and other countries. Zhang and Eder also discussed the preparations of the upcoming Winter Universiade to be held in Trentino, Italy.
Mr Zhang is Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Eco-Forum Global, an independent organization founded in 2009 committed to building consensus among all stakeholders for development of a green and sustainable future. Today’s challenges have led him to devote himself to environmental protection and sustainable development. He is also President of the China Education Association for International Exchange, a board member of the International Institute for Education Planning, UNESCO, and Member of the 11th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
