2014 WUC Golf: Crans-Montana, the European Masters as a test event

CRANS-MONTANA – Last week, Crans Montana (SUI) hosted one of the major European golf tournaments, the European Masters. This event was attended by FISU Technical Delegate for Golf, Mr. Ray Robinson and FISU staff members to evaluate the preparation of the 15th World University Golf Championship to be held from 23 to 27 June, 2014.

Crans-Montana is considered as one of the best golf course in Europe and its Masters one of the most prestigious competitions in Europe as well. Organising Committees members Guy Praplan and Pierre Bruchez were accompanied by Leonz Eder, FISU Vice-President and SHSV CEO as well as Jean Sebastien Scharl in charge of Golf in the Swiss University Sport Federation.

During the inspection all topics related to the organization were discussed in order to guarantee a high level of organization and prestigious conditions for the best student golfers in the world.
