KAZAN – The Universiade is an excellent opportunity for the FISU Development Committee of University Sport (CDSU) to meet representatives of the various continental federations (CUSFs). This was the case with America (ODUPA) meeting on July 3rd, Oceania (OUSA) on July 5th, Europe (EUSA) on July 7th, Asia (AUSF) and Africa (FASU) on July 8th. These meetings took place each time before the general assemblies of the said associations in order to discuss the direction to take in accordance with the CDSU guidelines for 2013-2015.
During these talks, the relations between the CUSFs and CDSU were discussed, the adequacy of the CUSF statutes and finally the submission of reports for projects for 2012-2013.
Regarding the different CUSF projects for the period 2014-2015 and for which the Executive Committee of FISU agreed, the annual budget has been approved. A meeting with the external audit firm KPMG was held with each CUSF. The development of communication for each CUSF was also discussed as well as the relations with the media. Finally, the new visual identity for the CUSF was approved by FISU.
A description of upcoming events for 2014-2015, as well as the calendar of events was presented by each CUSF and a program of long-term development was discussed. The schedule of the upcoming meetings between the CUSFs and CDSU has also been validated.
