Gord Grace, Pierre Lafontaine & Leo MacPherson
TORONTO – Canadian Interuniversity Sport announced Thursday June 6th, that long-time university administrator Gord Grace has joined the CIS national office.
Grace, who recently stepped down from his position as Director of Athletics and Recreation at the University of Windsor, joins the CIS staff in a leadership role and will oversee the marketing activities of the organisation.
Over the past year, in his position on the CIS board of directors, Grace played a key role in CIS securing a groundbreaking national television deal with Sportsnet, as well as building relationships with a number of corporate partners.
“Gord has proven an exceptional asset to CIS in the last few years and we’re thrilled that he will continue to be part of the CIS family as we enter a very exciting period for the organization,” said Pierre Lafontaine, chief executive officer of CIS.
