LJUBLJANA – We would like to inform everyone interested in participating in the European Universities Championships in 2013 that registration for all sports offered by EUSA is now available.
University teams and students of higher education institutes in Europe may register to participate in the European Universities Championships through the national university sports associations of their countries, provided that internal restrictions are applied.
In 2013, the European University Sports Association licenses organisation of championships in badminton, basketball, basketball 3×3, beach volleyball, bridge, football, futsal, golf, handball, judo, karate, rowing, rugby 7’s, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis and volleyball.
EUSA started to organise the championships in 2001 with two events, and now 17 sports are available. Over 3,500 participants are expected to take part in the championships this year. Although the events are growing in number of sports and participants, EUSA in cooperation with the organisers, is keeping track of the progress of the events, ensuring quality standards. Related to this, updated regulations for the events will be put in force in 2013.
