PODGORICA – During this academic year, the Students Sports Association of Montenegro will organize National University Championships in 15 different sports and stages two university leagues (Futsal & Basketball) and two Students cups (Volleyball & Handball) as well.
Some of the University Championships have already finished (tennis, beach volleyball, street ball, table tennis) as well as the Student Cross, others will be staged in the first part of next year.
The University Futsal League 2012/2013 started on October, 28th and it consists of 15 teams, which were divided into two groups, and after 7 playing rounds of the league, the best four teams from both groups have won a play-off berth. The championship title last year was won for the fourth consecutive time by the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education’s team from Niksic, which defeated the Faculty of Economics’ team from Podgorica in the finals with a 4-0 (1-0). This year, after 4 playing rounds two teams pocketed all victories (Faculty of Civil Engineering in group A and University Donja Gorica in group B).
The University Futsal League will be finished in February 2013, when the other team sport competition will start.
