
NICE – The second day of competition took place on Wednesday, September 5th, in Nice. After a morning off, due to a lack of wind, the afternoon allowed to compete for six flights as much as the day before, thanks to a wind going to 7 knots.
In the women’s competition, the Brazilian crew skipped by Senfft confirmed its excellent shape by signing 2 victories in 2 matches for a total of 5 on 5. Behind, the French boat (Bossard), the Brazilian 2 ( Decnop) and Swiss 1 (Bezel) ended all in second place ex aecquo with each a defeat for 4 victories.
In the man’s competition, the British team also pursued its domination. In Group A the GBR crew number 2 skipped by Shaw (former WUC champion) realized an attractive 6 on 6. In Group B on the other hand, the other English boat was beaten by the Australian crew skipped by Gilmour who heads the race with 5 victories in 6 races.
Today, the end of the races will reveal the next quarter-finalists.
