Women’s Relay Podium
ALICANTE – Relay is the most popular team competition in orienteering. The Relay Race took place in Santa Pola It was a very though relay competition for all teams with a number of three legs finished. All competitors struggled very hard to win the gold medal.
In the women’s competition, the Swedish team dominated once again, leaving the silver to Switzerland, while host Spain get the bronze.

After the relay, the coaches race was organised in a very friendly atmosphere, giving the opportunity for all to participate.
This afternoon the athletes are free to rest or visit the city before attending the Closing Ceremony which will be held at the Parainfo University of Alicante. All will meet at the University at 8pm to celebrate the end of this World University Championship.
