BTI Events extends contract with US-IUSF for FISU Events until 2021

11 May 2012

SEATTLE The United States International University Sports Federation (US-IUSF) and BTI Events have agreed to extend their partnership through the 2021 World University Games. The contract adds the years 2016-2021 that include both the Winter and Summer Games on the odd years and World University Championships during the even years.

In 2010 BTI Events originally signed a contract with the US-IUSF for the Universiades and Championships through the year 2015. Utilizing their experience in athletic event management, BTI Events has streamlined administration and logistics for American athletes, teams and (National Governing Bodies) NGB’s.

In the past, many sports have been under-represented by U.S. athletes in World University Games and Championships. “We have been extremely pleased with BTI Events’ ability to bring USA Teams to the global spotlight. In 2011, BTI Events helped bring one of the largest delegations in U.S. history to the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, China where USA Team won the most Medals since 1999”, said US-IUSF President, Dr. Gary Cunningham.

BTI Events is currently working with USA Teams for the 2012 World University Championships. USA Water Ski recently won the Gold Medal in the 2012 Championships held in Santiago, Chile. More than a dozen sports will represent the U.S. in the World University Championships this year.
