ULAANBAATOR – The Mongolian Student Sports Federation (MSSF) in cooperation with the Mongolian State University of Education (MSUE) inaugurated the “Universiade Education Hall” on 19th March 2012 in the Physical Education Department of the Mongolian State University of Education (MSUE). The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Baasanjav M., General Director for the Department of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (MECS); Dr. Jadambaa B., Rector of Mongolian State University of Education (MSUE); Dr. Jargalsaikhan. D, Secretary General of MSSF and representatives of State Authority for Physical Culture and Sport of Mongolia; EC Members of MSSF; delegations of Mongolian Sports Federations, teachers and students of some other universities.
The “Universiade Education Hall” (UE Hall) project started last year as support of AUSF and FISU. For the purpose to spread widely the idea of International University Sport, to develop information, training and advertisement of world university sports, the Universiade (Summer and Winter) as well as to support research work of researchers, lecturers, coaches and students.
The “UE Hall” adorned with 51 boards (size 80 x 60 cm) on the Winter (25) and Summer (26) Universiades starting from 1959, and advertisement boards of FISU, AUSF and MSSF is located in a 200m long corridor on the first floor of the Physical Education Department.
Other universities besides MSUE plan to open such a hall in their schools. During the 2nd Asian University Women’s Volleyball Championship (9-15 Apr 2012 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia), some delegations and student athletes of the National University Sports Federations of Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Hong Kong who were participating in the event visited the “UE Hall”.
AUSF board member Kairat Zakiryanov, President of NUSF Kazakhstan said to be interested in open this kind of UE Hall in his country.
