Mongolia hosts 2nd AUSF Women’s Volleyball Championship

ULAANBAATAR The AUSF EC meeting of 20-22 May 2011 in Almaty, Kazakhstan granted NUSF Mongolia the rights to organize the 2nd Women’s Volleyball AUC from April 9th to 15th, 2012.

The Organizing Committee leaded by Mr. Lambaa S., Member of the Mongolian Parliament and Honorary President of the Mongolian Volleyball Association; Vice-President OC Mr. Naranbaatar Ch., Chairman of State Authority for Physical Culture and Sports Mongolia; Secretary-General of OC Dr. Jargalsaikhan D., Secretary General of Mongolian Student Sports Federation (MSSF). The Organizing Committee has included Mr.Dalaijargal D., State Secretary of Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Foreign citizens’ authority ofMongolia, Union of Mongolian Students, Mongolian Volleyball Association, National University of Mongolia and Mongolia State University of Education.

Mr. Kairat Zakiryanov (KAZ), Auditor of AUSF will Chair CISCA, Mr. Xu Hui (CHN), Manager of AUSF –CIC member all from Asian University Sports Federation. Mr. Yoshiharu Nishiwaki (JPN), technical representative of the Asian Volleyball Confederation. Mr Chareonpong Songsak (THA), chief referee AVC will be working inUlaanbaatar,Mongoliaon 9th -15th, April 2012. Same CISCA members Mr. Xu Hui and Mr. Yoshiharu Nishiwaki was working 09-11 March to the inspection visit inUlaanbaatar,Mongolia

Members of the Inspection Committee are visiting and valuing “Buyant-Ukhaa” sports palace (5,045 seats) in which the competition will be organized, Central Sports Palace and sports halls of National University of Mongolia and Education University of Mongolia in which the teams will practice before the competition of the AUWV Championship 2012. Also the delegates inspected the Flower Hotel where the athletes will stay, technical supply, working group, volunteer-interpreters, hospital, security, services of culture and art and protocol of opening and closing ceremony.

They also met with Mr. Lambaa S. ,President of the Organizing Committee, Member of the Mongolian Parliament and Honorary president of the Mongolian Volleyball Association, Mr. Naranbaatar Ch.- Vice President of OC and Chairman of State Authority for Physical Culture and Sports – Implementing Agency of Government of Mongolia, Mr. Jargalsaikhan D- Secretary General OC and Mongolian Student Sports Federation (MSSF), Ts. Bat-Enkh, Secretary General of Mongolian Volleyball Association.

Team Draw

The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Asian University Women’s Volleyball Championship and Inspection visit delegation AUSF and AVC had organized the team draw in theCentralSportsPalaceinUlaanbaatar,Mongoliaon March 10th, 2012.

Press Conference

Prior to the team draw ceremony, the AUWVC 2012 Organizing Committee and NUSF Mongolia gave information about the Championship at a Press conference.

Accommodation

The athletes will stay at the Flower Hotel during the championship. The hotel was established in 1995 and is one of the first joint companies of Mongolia and Japan. It has 180 rooms as well as European, Mongolian, Chinese and Japanese style restaurants.

Transportation

The OC will provide local transport for delegations from/to airport, railway station, training hall and competition hall as well as sports palace with dedicated buses. Each team will be served by a dedicated bus.

Broadcasting

The Organizing Committee has received proposals to broadcast the championship live. “Education channel” TV, “Sport Box” TV and Eagle TV confirmed to broadcast live and have started to broadcast advertisements.

Visa Free of Charge

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Organizing Committee are working on issuing visas for foreigners and as a result of it, foreign athletes and delegations has started to get a visa free of charge. The Foreign citizens’ authority of Mongolia has started to issue a visa-on-arrival and Authority for Border Troops will serve on special line at the border for the athletes.

Volunteers

Over 50 volunteers, all students of Mongolian Universities, will work to organize the Asian University Championship. They were selected last December by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Union of Mongolian Students.

Students from the National University of Mongolia, the Mongolian University of Education,University of Humanities and Mon-Altius University will work as interpreters in “Buyant-Ukhaa” sport palace, the press center, the airport, internal security, the hotel, the cultural department, for the preparation of the championship and other services as well.
