
ULAANBAATAR – The Mongolian Student Sports Federation (MSSF) successfully organized its National Universiade Games Mongolia Fun Run on Saturday May 14th, 2011 in the country’s capital, Ulaanbaatar.
This year, the Fun Run has attracted about 5,000 students from 24 universities and colleges. This year’s edition started at Ulaanbaatar city central square Sukhbaatar at 10:00 am and finished at 11:00 am approximately. The participants run direction of Mongolian State Academic Theater of Opera-Ballet over the Peace Bridge to Zaisan memorial Park.
Mr. Naran, Chairman for Evaluation department of the capital together with city government members; Mr. Jargalsaikhan, MSSF Secretary-General; Mr. Natsagdorj Executive Director of Bodi Group and Mr. Byambagerel Secretary-General of the Mongolian Students Union attended the opening ceremony and presented the awards and certifications to the students during the closing ceremony. The Mongolian Student Sports Federation handed out T-shirts with the MSSF-logo to all participants of the Fun Run.
The following students placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd of National Universiade Games Mongolia Fun Run: gold medal: Gantulga D., student of “Avarga” Physical Culture Institute and Otgontuul V. student of Health Sciences University of Mongolia; silver medal: Munkhbayar N., student of National Institute of Physical Culture and Erdenechimeg D., student of Mongolian State University of Education and bronze medal: Byambajav Ts. student of National Institute of Physical Culture and Khishigsaikhan G., student of National Institute of Physical Culture Ranking of the best schools: the National Institute of Physical Culture won gold, silver went to “Mon-Altius” Physical Culture Institute and the bronze medal was for “Avarga” Physical Culture Institute.
Bodi Group and Apple were general sponsors of the competition and they presented an iPod to the athletes on the podium and also awarded a certificate and prize money to the participants who were placed 4th to 50th.
