KAUNAS – In Kaunas, on May 12th, the Lithuanian University Sports Federation organized an international Conference wit the topic of “FISU Intercontinental activities in the future” in the context of the 27th SELL Games that are going to take place in the city from May 13th to 15th.
Representatives of the five FISU continental federations were invited to take an active part in this Conference.
Mr. George E. Killian, FISU President is attending the Conference together with many members of the FISU Executive Committee and the FISU Family. Indeed, representatives from the following countries were in attendance Austria, Slovenia, South Africa, Israel, Italy, Finland, Estonia, Russian Federation, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, USA, and Uruguay.
The Conference was preceded by the Ceremony of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Kaunus University Sport Academy given to Alberto Gualtieri EUSA President and FISU Board Member. Mr. Killian underlined the important role played by EUSA in the development of the FISU continental program.
The Conference was the opportunity to exchange ideas on ranking procedures for university sport or mass sport in university sport movement.
