AUSF EC Meeting in Chiang Mai

CHIANG MAI – The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Asian University Sport Federation was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand in conjunction with the 15th ASEAN University Games. The meeting was held on December 17th and 18th, 2010 in Chaing Mai Phucome Hotel, the Headquarters Hotel of the 15th ASEAN University Games. President Zhang Xinsheng presided over the meetings and the major issues
discussed were :

1/  SWOT Analysis of the Federation;
2/  Organizational Development Plan;
3/  Action Plan in 2011-12;
4/  Cooperation with ASEAN University Sports Council in staging the First Asian University Games in 2012.

The meeting provided a briefing to the newly elected officers of the Executive Committee in 2010-2016 session as well as routing the direction of future development and plan of the Federation.

The attendance of AUSF members at the ASEAN University Games also enhanced the cooperation and collaboration between a Continental Federation and its Regional Federations. Building on the infrastructure and the success of the regional games, AUSF is confident in the further development of university sports in Asia in a more organized and coordinated manner. The effort and hospitality of Dr. Preecha Prayoonput of the Thailand University Sports Board who is also an Assessor of AUSF was very much appreciated by his fellow colleagues.

 

AUSF will host 4 championships in 2011:

2nd Asian University Taekwondo Championship (KAZ) in May,

1st Asian University Beach Volleyball Championship (CHN) in July,

1st Asian University Wrestling Championship (IRI) in November,

1st Asian University Golf Championship (THA) in December.
