CHIANG MAI – On December 11th, the Opening Ceremony of the pre-ASEAN University Games Conference (International Conference on Sports and Exercise Science) took place. This is the 15th edition of the Games that will be held from December 15th to 23rd. The Conference started on December 12th with the presentation of the FISU representative, Kolë Gjeloshaj (Director for Education and Development Services) who presented the FISU development strategy focused on the 10 ASEAN countries and the cooperation with the Asian University Sports Federation.
300 persons are registered for the conference in which speakers and paper presenters are coming from 18 different countries.
Mr. Piniti Ratananulkul, the deputy head of the Higher Education Commission of Thailand opened the Conference. Mrs. Nangnoi Puapatanakul, Deputy Secretary General of the office of the Higher Education Commission and Mrs. Boonma Thaikao Vice-president of the National University Sports Federation of Thailand (USBT) were also in attendance for the Opening Ceremony.
