Team UVV
ARACAJU – Fifteen teams played the 2010 Brazilian University Soccer Championship, from 5th to 11th September, in the city of Aracajú.
It was the University of Vila Velha (UVV), from Espírito Santo, that won the Brazilian Championship after penalties against UPIS, from Distrito Federal.
UVV raised the cup after five years of fasting and got their third national trophy (1999, 2005 and 2010). FTC, from Bahia, secured the bronze medal of the 2010 Brazilian University Soccer Championship with a 3:2-victory after regular playing time against UCB, also from Distrito Federal.
Jeferson Berger, a student from UVV and main scorer of the tournament was named MVP of the University Soccer Championship.

“Soccer is the national passion in Brazil and we always have a lot of player interest and teams that want to participate. This year we had teams from 12 states”, Luciano Cabral, president of Brazilian University Sports Confederation (CBDU) said.
