LAUSANNE – The fifth IF Staff Seminar 2010 on Personnel took place at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Olympic capital and home of international sport. FISU attended the seminar being represented by the Administration and HR General Manager, François-Philippe DRAGUET, and Executive Assistant, Paulo FERREIRA.
This session was chaired by Fredi SCHMID, General Secretary of the International Skating Union (ISU), who also gave the introductory presentation on Managing and Motivating Staff. The second speaker was Vick CAPT, Human Resource Manager at International Basketball Federation (FIBA) who addressed the issue of Managing Expectations of New Staff.
The session progressed with Raphael LAUB, Senior Consultant of Move Up, Ltd. and Brigitte ZUFFEREY, Human Resources Manager from the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) that both focused their presentations on Managing Staff Expectations. In closing, TSE Consulting Managing Director, Lars Haue-Pedersen delivered some thoughts on the 5 key aspects with regards to Personnel in the international sports federations’ framework.
In total, 19 participants attended the seminar, representing 15 international sports federations and organisations: International Skating Union (ISU), International Rowing Federation (FISA), International Baseball Federation (IBAF), International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), Fédération Internationale d’Escrime (FIE), Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH), Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU), World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), Fédération Internationale de Tir à l’Arc (FITA), International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the Service de l’éducation physique et des sports of the Canton du Vaud (SEPS).
The next IF Staff Seminar at MSI will be on the 26th October on IT Information technology.
