Shenzhen – On May 12th, two days prior to the FISU EC meeting in Shenzhen, P.R. China, the Committee for the Development of University Sports (CDSU) had its meeting.
FISU President George E. Killian attended the meeting chaired by Stefan Bergh, Vice-President and co-chaired by Pedro Dias, Assessor.
The first part of the meeting was dedicated to the project follow-up of the projects of the FISU Associate Members (Continental University Sports Associations). The floor was given to each of the Presidents (Mr. Zhang, AUSF; Mr. Chikh, FASU; Mr. Gualtieri, EUSA; Mr. Jakob, ODUPA and Mrs. Nelson, OUSA) of the Continental University Sports Associations to report on their activities since the last meeting of the CDSU held last November in Erzurum, Turkey. The members analyzed and commented on the new projects submitted and made the overview of the progress reports.
Mr. Dias presented the new evaluation model that has been developed.
The membership issue was also at the agenda. The new documents which were prepared were presented and the members commented on the meetings attended in Abu Dhabi last April.
