From February 8th to 12th, 2010, the 7th International Congress on Higher Education was held in the “Palacio de Convenciones” in Havanna, Cuba.
More than 3,500 participants, mainly from the Latin American countries, but also from Spain, Greece, Switzerland, Russia, China and Saudi-Arabia were registered at this Congress.
Four members of the FISU Family were actively involved in the Congress.
During the “X Taller Internacional de Extension Universitaria” FISU EC Member Leonz Eder presented a paper to “Sports – quality of life for students and employees”.
Jorge Solis, Secretary-General of the Mexican University Sports Federation and Michalis Kiritsis, President of the Greek University Sports Federation participated actively in different workshops.
FISU CIC Member José Balsinde Herrera from Cuba’s Ministry of Higher Education was mainly involved in the organization of this important congress in his home town Havanna.
The participation at this Congress offered a lot of opportunities to contact delegates from many different countries, explaining them also the working method and the program of FISU.
