The Best of Brazilian University Soccer

Brazilian students are ready to show that, in soccer’s country, the talent with the ‘ball in feet’ is also present on the university soccer pitches.

Seventeen universities have confirmed to participate in the 2009 Brazilian University Soccer Championship, which will take place from September 20th to 26th, in Vitória, the main city of the state Espírito Santo.

In the men’s competition, fifteen teams are enrolled: UPIS (DF), champion in 2008; UVV (ES); Feevale (RS); Unip (SP); FIC (CE); UESC (BA); CUBH (MG); UFRJ (RIO DE JANEIRO); UFMA (MÁ); UFSC (SC); Universe (GO); UniSant´anna (SP); FTC (BA); UFES (SE) and Mackenzie (SP).

The women’s competition is played between UniSant´anna (SP), UCB (DF) and Facevv (ES).

The 2009 University Brazilian Soccer Championship is an University Sport League event and is sponsored by Redecard and Nokia and supported by Comtax, Bauducco and Wilson.
