FISU Steering Committee Meets in Brussels HQ
On January 4th, 2009, the FISU Steering Committee met in Brussels on the request of FISU President, George E. KILLIAN. Were present as FISU Steering Committee Members: George E. KILLIAN – FISU President; Stefan BERGH – FISU Vice President; Xinsheng ZHANG – FISU Vice President; Hassan CHIKH – FISU Vice President; Bayasgalan DANZANDORJ – FISU Treasurer and Malumbete RALETHE – FISU First Assessor. FISU Task Force was represented by Leonz Eder – FISU Task force representative and Eric SAINTROND – FISU Secretary General/CEO. Mr Stavros DOUVIS FISU CTI Chair Summer Universiade and Marc VANDENPLAS, FISU Summer Universiade Director, were also present. The Belgrade Organising Committee was represented by its Executive Committee President Nebojsa ILIC and by Dejan SUSOVIC, its new IT Director. This meeting was held in order to get from the UB 2009 Organising Committee some very important information about recent developments since it had been totally restructured. IT, Catering, Transport, Opening and Closing Ceremonies were the main topics discussed during this meeting. A very close collaboration and a daily communication between all parties will continue.
