On 6 March a delegation from Idong Health Technology Co., a branch of Taishan, led by Claire Liu, Taishan Idong International Business Director, arrived in Lausanne to finalise the installation and set up of a multifunctional machine designed for a comprehensive physical performance measurement.

Equipped with complicated tools and software, the machine allows to conduct a series of tests to measure weight and height, vital capacity, reaction time, grip strength, balance, systolic/diastolic pressure and other performance indicators. According to CSS specialists, it will be used not only to track individual athletes’ progress, but to assess the efficiency of different training techniques as well.

On 9 March FISU President Oleg Matytsin conducted an ‘inaugural’ trial of the new equipment, which will then be used by UNIL and EPFL students. After successfully passing all tests, Mr Matytsin, a sports sciences scholar and a former professional athlete, gave a high appreciation to the new equipment and thanked Taishan Sports Technology Co. for the company’s contribution to sports in Lausanne.
