Road to Xiamen 2017: 3×3 World University League Tournament Rosters Set

16 men’s and 16 women’s university teams will be looking for their way to the top of  the 3×3 basketball world by taking home title of World University League champions

 

 

 

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND – 16 men’s and 16 women’s university teams will go head-to-head for the ultimate 3×3 basketball prize , the World University League championship title.

 

With the final continental qualifying tournament in Oceania seeing two Australian teams completing the list of contenders – with Macquarie University qualifying on the men’s side and Monash University on the women’s – the stage is now set for the 3×3 World University League championships.

 

The title will be decided in Xiamen, China for the 14-17 of September and both the men’s and women’s defending champions will be back and in the hunt for more hardware.

 

 

On the men’s side, McGill University from Canada will be going for a three-peat in the third edition of the League. On the women’s side, Lithuanian Sport University looks like a top title-contender again.

 

 

 

All told, the 32 university teams represent 22 countries, with seven teams qualifying for their first 3×3 World University League finals.  The Road to Xiamen 2017 continues next week with tournament team presentations.
