Clean sport with anti-doping important value for EUSA

30 July 2021

European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the EUSA Institute cherish fair play and are actively working against doping and match-fixing. Believing that sports should be fair and clean, we also took part in the Match point project on anti-doping, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Lead by the Bulgarian Tennis Federation (BTF), the project consortium was also composed by the national Tennis federation from Poland and Romania, as well as the University of Vienna, Austrian Institute for Sport Medicine and the EUSA Institute.

Under the slogan “Win the match clean,” the project started in 2019, and reviewed anti-doping practices in participating countries, with emphasis on grassroot sport and in particularly tennis, prepared the ethical code, developed online educational course and assisted in building network to educate young people and fight doping. The course is open to everyone free of charge.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the project was extended, and has completed end of June this year, carrying also activities on a local level, promoting the anti-doping values and project resources.

EUSA Institute carried out the multiplier sport event end of June in Ljubljana, and we invite everyone to enrol for a free educational course, which will provide additional information and resources about the topic.

Take the online course and visit our project summary for more information!
