China dominates Poomsae Team Competition

HOHHOT – The team competition in Poomsae was decided at the 13th WUC Taekwondo in Hohhot, China. 

In the men’s team competition Zhu Yuxiang, Jin Jun and Wu Chuang (CHN) took the gold medal leaving the silver to the Korean team.  The men’s teams from the Philippines and Chinese Taipei landed the bronze. Competitors in the men’s team category came from Philippines, Egypt, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Korea, China, Australia and the USA.

The gold medal in the women’s team competition was taken by Korean athletes Kim Hanxing, Kim Zhongxun, and Kim Shaoxi. China got the silver, while Philippines and Chinese Taipei settled for the bronze. The competitors in this category traveled to Hohhot from Korea, Chinese Taipei, Australia, USA, China, Egypt and Philippines.

In the mixed team competition the Chinese competitors (Zhu Yuxiang and Xia Yu) once again mounted the highest podium. The silver went to Korea and bronze was for Chinese Taipei and Thailand. The teams competing in the mixed event were from China, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and Germany.
