MARCQ-EN-BAROEUL - From 1 to 4 December, the 11th edition of the Master'U BNP Paribas took place in Marcq-en-Baroeul, France.
The United States won this 2016 edition of the university tennis tournament. The team led by Greg Patton and Melissa Schaub beat Russia (4-1) in the final to lift the trophy for the sixth consecutive time. The women's pair Hayley Carter-Ena Shibahara brought the decisive point by winning against Anastasia Frolova and Victoria Kamenskaya. Britain beat Germany (4-1) taking third place in the competition.
France, eliminated on Friday in the quarter-finals, finished the tournament in fifth place thanks to a victory over Belgium (4-3).
Ireland finished 7th and China 8th.
