Get the Napoli 2019 tickets before they’re gone!

NAPLES, Italy – The ticket sales for the 30th Summer Universiade, Napoli 2019, will be open to public from late May onwards and the prices are so affordable that they’re bound to be lapped up in the blink of an eye.

Tickets to the grand Opening Ceremony at San Paolo Stadium on 3 July, with nearly 8,000 athletes in action, are priced at only EUR 15! There is also a reduced-price ticket of EUR 5 for children under 18, adults over 65, sports delegations, university students, and sports and military associations.  There is also a family package for EUR 36.

The world’s best university athletes representing 127 countries will compete in 222 medal events in athletics, swimming, gymnastics, judo, taekwondo, basketball, volleyball and ten other sports. For qualification rounds, the full price ticket is only EUR 3, while admission will be free for children and other reduced categories. Full price tickets for the much-in-demand finals is EUR 5, reduced-price ticket is EUR 3 and family package is 14. In a bonanza to Napoli locals, admission to the Closing Ceremony in Piazza del Plebiscito, scheduled for July 14th, is free!

Tickets will be available by the end of this month on the official website: www.universiade2019napoli.it – and successful purchase will generate a barcode which will allow direct access to venues, through prints or on  mobile phones or tablets. During working hours, tickets can also be purchased directly at the venue box office, which will open one hour before the competitions. Admission to the competitions will be allowed approximately 45 minutes before the start of the event.

The Napoli 2019 Summer Universiade will be a wonderful event for gender parity, as the numbers of registered male and female athletes are nearly even. In team sports like rugby sevens, football, water polo and basketball, an equal number of teams are in the fray. The only exception is volleyball where there are more male teams in action.
